Fort Ord subject of comic book San Francisco artist publishes work online By Phillip Molnar Monterey Herald (CA) September 20, 2014MARINA - Fort Ord has been featured in novels, TV shows and movies, and as of this week, it can finally cross comic book off the list. The county's former Army base was the subject of an online comic titled "Impossible City: The Afterlife of an Army Base," published on Medium.com by San Francisco-based artist Andy Warner. His 35-panel work has received major play on social media and has been enthusiastically shared by locals. The 30-year-old artist said he first discovered the base by accident during a road trip in 2006. ...
