Missile site cleanup east of Cheyenne questioned Wyoming News May 19, 2015 CHEYENNE - It could take 200 years and cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars. And some local residents and government officials are not even sure if it will work. At issue is a proposed plan to clean up groundwater that was contaminated by chemicals used to clean a 1960s-era missile site. The site is located off Campstool Road about 20 miles east of Cheyenne. The Atlas "D" Missile Site No. 3 is one of the former F.E.
