Tobyhanna Army Depot purchases land to allow for expansion, if necessary By Bill O’Boyle Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader (PA) August 28, 2015 TOBYHANNA TWP. - More land could mean lots more for the Tobyhanna Army Depot. In what was termed a “land transfer ceremony” Friday, approximately 40.29 acres immediately adjacent to Tobyhanna Army Depot’s border was transferred to the depot. The land could be used “to enhance their mission capabilities” of the depot, officials said. The land is along Route 423 in Coolbaugh Township.
