Hassan sends letter to Obama on Pease testing Seacoast Online October 12, 2015 CONCORD - Gov. Maggie Hassan is asking the federal government to allocate resources for long-term monitoring and testing for those who were exposed to chemicals from a contaminated well in Portsmouth. Hassan sent a letter Monday to President Barack Obama. "I am writing to request that you direct the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) to allocate resources to study human health effects from exposure to perfluorochemicals (PFCs)," Hassan said in the letter to the president.
