Wright-Patterson gets new wastewater treatment plant A new groundwater treatment system has started By Barrie Barber Dayton Daily News (OH) January 20, 2016 WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE - A new groundwater treatment system will strip contaminants for years out of a plume of water beneath the surface at Wright-Patterson, base environmental officials say. The treatment system started operations this month after testing was completed, replacing an aging $7.5 million process in place for more than two decades. “It was a Cadillac of its time,” but operation costs were rising and parts were becoming increasingly difficult to locate, said Treva A.
