Pease water contamination could be part of large health study By Jeff McMenemy Seacoast Online (NH) February 16. 2016 PORTSMOUTH - A federal official said a potential health study on water contamination at the former Pease Air Force Base could be part of a broader group of contaminated Department of Defense sites. Frank Bove, the senior epidemiologist for The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, pointed to other similar sites in Pennsylvania and Delaware that could be part of a bigger study. “We might do a combined study if Pease’s population isn’t large enough,” Bove said during a City Council meeting Tuesday night in City Hall.
