Concerns over perfluorinated compounds escalating not only in Bucks and Montgomery counties but nationwide

Bucks and Montgomery counties aren’t the only places in the U.S. struggling with health concerns over perfluorinated compounds in public and private drinking water wells.

The military has announced that it now will test water for PFOS and PFOA at 664 sites on current and former military facilities across the country, The Associated Press reported recently.

And, a trio of governors - New York’s Andrew Cuomo, Vermont’s Peter Shumlin, and New Hampshire’s Maggie Hassan - co-authored a joint letter to Gina McCarthy, administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, asking the agency to take action on PFOA.
