Kingman Airport contamination lawsuit might be resolved Doug McMurdo Fairbanks Daily Miner (AK) March 13, 2016 KINGMAN - The City Council will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Monday when members go into closed session with City Attorney Carl Cooper to discuss a potential settlement regarding the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park dross litigation. Dross, a byproduct of smelted aluminum, has wrecked about 15 acres of airport tarmac for decades. The problem is the result of smelting that occurred right after World War II. Kingman was home to soldiers and Army Air Corps pilots who trained here for both bombing and gunnery actions.
