MILITARY: Extent of training delayed by tortoises still undecided By MARK MUCKENFUSS Riverside Press-Enterprise (CA) April 2, 2016 The extent of military exercises in the Johnson Valley aren’t yet known about a month after a plan to move endangered desert tortoises out of the area was delayed, military officials told about 30 people at a meeting Saturday, April 2.
