Riverbank gets grant to clean up contaminated site Central Valley Business Journal (CA) May 16, 2016 RIVERBANK — The Riverbank Local Redevelopment Authority is going to receive more than $39 million from an environmental services grant from the US Army to help clean up a Superfund site. The money will be used to remove contamination at the former Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant, also known as the Riverbank Industrial Complex. The work includes cleaning and remediating interior building surfaces contaminated with PCBs, the removal and disposal of siding and roof panels and surface soil remediation.
