Residents Push For Solution To Contaminated Drinking Water By RYAN BRAY Falmouth News (MA) July 22, 2016 Questions still surround the status of contaminated drinking water in parts of East Falmouth, Mashpee, and Pocasset following an informational meeting hosted by officials from Joint Base Cape Cod. Officials with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center at Joint Base Cape Cod, as well as those from the state Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Public Health, and Department of Environmental Protection, held a meeting for residents Wednesday, July 20, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Falmouth. In May, private wells on four Currier Road properties were deemed to be in excess of PFCs (perfluorinated compounds): PFOS (perfluorooctanesulfonic acid) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid).
