First Phase of USEC Groundwater Plan Complete West Kentucky Star October 21, 2016 Nine new monitoring wells have been installed at the U.S. Department of Energy's Paducah Site, representing the first phase of a project to enhance groundwater treatment. The DOE says samples collected from the new wells on the northeast section of the site will support the project's next phase, which includes installing an additional 13 monitoring wells, two extraction wells, and a new treatment facility to augment the existing pump-and-treat unit. ...
