Salina Public Entities edging closer to resolution with Department of Defense

The Salina Public Entities are closer to resolving an issue with the United States Department of Defense centered around contamination at the former Schilling Air Force Base.

The contractor hired to investigate the extent of contamination at the former Schilling Air Force Base expects to submit a plan to KDHE for groundwater cleanup by the end of this year, according to information presented Wednesday to the Salina Airport Authority.
