Second, Dr. Andrea Leeson, Deputy Director of SERDP and ESTCP, will present an overview of SERDP and ESTCP’s efforts to better understand per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) impacts, fate and transport, and treatment with a focus on outcomes of a recent expert workshop on PFAS-related research, development and demonstration needs. Finally, Professor David Sedlak of the University of California, Berkeley, will present an overview of PFAS remediation in groundwater using in situ chemical oxidation.
