Kxly4 Interview: Fairchild official details plan to combat water contamination KXLY TV-4 News (Spokane, WA) December 5, 2017 FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. - Fairchild Air Force Base expects to have filtration systems installed on contaminated private wells east of the base in the next 60 to 90 days. High levels of contaminants used in firefighting training foam at the base were found in their water this past spring. Many of the families have been frustrated with the timetable for getting their water clean again. Kxly4's Nadine Woodward sat down with Wing Commander Colonel Ryan Samuelson to ask him when families can expect to see some resolution.
