Department of Defense begins new study of Air Guard base PFAS contamination By Trace Christenson Battle Creek Enquirer December 5, 2020 The Department of Defense has begun a study to determine clean-up measures for PFAS chemicals at the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base. The Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs announced the program this week and said it is part of a national effort to identify and remove perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) used for decades in firefighting foam.
