Contamination at US Military Heliport in Daegu Found to be Serious KBS World Radio (S. Korea) January 19, 2021 Contamination of soil and groundwater at a U.S. military site set to be returned to South Korea in Daegu has been found to be serious. This is according to a local civic group based in the southeastern city of Daegu on Tuesday, citing the Environment Ministry's report on field inspections of Camp Walker's helicopter air base from November 2019 to March 2020.
