Dr. Shaily Mahendra (University of California, Los Angeles) will discuss the use of a microbial co-culture to rapidly biodegrade mixtures of chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) and 1,4-dioxane. Then, Mr. David Lippincott (APTIM Federal Services, LLC) will talk about the implementation of an in-situ co-metabolic biobarrier to treat large, dilute CVOC plumes.
