Senators get broad support for water resolution; Sen. Perez, “This is a Growing Movement” by Joe Taitano II Pacific Daily News (GU) April 19, 2021 Legislators received testimony in support of Resolution 55, last week, which urges collective efforts to protect Guam’s primary water source, the Northern Lens Aquifer, from impacts related to the military buildup. The resolution, sponsored by Sen. Sabina Perez, calls attention to potential contamination issues incurred by military activity. It discusses hazardous materials within Andersen Air Force Base in unlined landfills, drum storage and disposal areas, and other locations.
