Fort Ritchie master plan: Homes, lodging, retail space By Mike Lewis Hagerstown Herald-Mail (MD) July 2, 2021 CASCADE — John Krumpotich calls the Fort Ritchie development master plan "very, very exciting." The plan represents an opportunity for Krumpotich, who purchased part of the former military base from Washington County. It also represents more than a half-million dollars in annual savings for taxpayers as the land goes back on the tax rolls, according to a county official. The plan, which will be executed in phases, calls for dozens of duplexes, 250 townhomes, 103 single-family homes and 60 condominiums. Barracks will become lodging facilities and retail spaces.
