MAKING THE CLEANUP PROCESS WORK FOR YOU
WORKING WITH ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONALS ON BROWNFIELDS SITES
A workshop for CDCs and community groups
April 7, 9 am - 12:30 pm
Tufts School of Medicine * Sackler Building * 145 Harrison Ave. * Boston, MA
How can a community group hire and manage technical assistance?
In Massachusetts, environmental professionals, called licensed site
professionals (LSPs), assess and make clean-up recommendations on
potentially contaminated properties, or brownfields. Community developers
and neighborhood-based groups need to rely on the knowledge and expertise
of these environmental professionals to guide them through the clean up
process. In this workshop, you will learn:
* When you need to hire a professional.
* How to find the right one.
* What you can do to get the most out
of your relationship.
Presenters will include licensed site professionals, and experienced
community developers from Nuestra Communidad, a CDC.
