Next goal: A Repauno port

Gloucester County officials have begun eyeing a spot for a second port
now that they are gearing up to begin construction on a
multi-million-dollar port in Paulsboro.
On Tuesday, the freeholder board unanimously approved a resolution that
allows them to secure grant funding to study the amount of contamination
at a onetime gunpowder manufacturing plant in Greenwich Township.
The former DuPont Repauno Works has been dormant for decades and is a
known Brownfield site Ð meaning the ground is contaminated and requires
cleaning.
