Communicating the Science of TCE and PCE

On this free 1-hour call, co-hosted by CHE and the Boston University Superfund Research Program, speakers will discuss the health effects of TCE and PCE, particularly their renal toxicological and neurobehavioral effects, within the context of the recently released Institute of Medicine’s Review of VA Clinical Guidance for the Health Conditions Identified by the Camp Lejeune Legislation. They will provide information on promoting and facilitating public participation in the oversight of environmental activities that involve communicating science and solutions for TCE and/or PCE exposure. Lastly, they will address a case study in which two of the speakers were involved in organizing responses to community concerns and questions about TCE and PCE contamination in groundwater near two schools in the Winston-Salem area in 2014.
