SH OKs remediation funds for former Bohn Piston site

SOUTH HAVEN - A brownfields plan has been approved to help the new owners of the former Bohn Piston factory site some financial relief as they clean up the site for future development.
The City Council last week voted to approve the brownfields plan for the properties at 220 Aylworth Ave. and 1280 Kalamazoo St.
The city’s Local Development Finance Authority, which captures funds on improvements in the city’s three industrial parks, sold the 16.8-acre property to the Lukela Group earlier this year.
