It's a case study in itself. A textbook on how not to close a base, clean it
up, and reuse it. Much too complex to even outline here. One place to start
would be a Nexus search on Hamilton AFB-- there was lots of newspaper
coverage. Then do a series of interviews in Marin County. My impression is
that it's more about land use than cleanup. If you are looking to do a
thesis and nobody's beat you to it, it would make a great subject.
