To all interested parties:
Statistical data obtained from the following document:
MCAS El Toro, Ca. IRP/Installation Restoration Program
RI/FS Remedial Investigation/Feasability Study
Gndwater Quality Data Report
Prepared by: SW/Div Naval Facilities Engineering Cmd
Contr's: Jacobs Eng. Grp, IT Corp and CH2M Hill
Note:
The information presented represents one of the most thorough and
costly gndwater analysis that has been implemented heretofore. These data
should interest most RAB members and we imagine some regulators and
contractors at other bases with contaminated sites. The Trichloroethylene
(TCE) and other volatile organic compounds they found may take from 20 to
150 years to remediate back to USEPA MCL (maximum contaminate level) due to
the dispersion in our shallow and principle gndwater basin here in Orange
County, Ca.
