here is something else to chew on:
"International Monitoring of Serbia's Enriched Uranium to Resume
[Nuclear Security]." New York Times, 5 May 99, A10.
Fearing that, if "pushed to the wall", Yugoslavia might use
or sell its "highly enriched" uranium supply for terrorist
activity, international nuclear inspectors will resume
inspections of the uranium storage site in Vinca this month
to insure that the uranium is "still in place". Plans to
re-visit the reactor were prompted by a letter received on
April 26 by the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy
Agency. The letter, sent by the Government in Belgrade,
expressed concern for the region should Yugoslavia resort to
such action.
It would be nice if you all voiced as much concern for the Kosovans who were
being shot, raped and maimed. Before they have a chance to die from
exposure to DU, they will likely die from other causes. Perhaps you can
protest against Serb aggression against the Kosovars while you protest
against the use of DU by NATO.
