JUST RELEASED! ESTCP SOLICITATION
The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Environmental Security Technology
Certification Program (ESTCP) released its annual solicitation on
January 7, 2010, requesting demonstration proposals related to
environmental and energy technologies.
* DOD ORGANIZATIONS: The DoD Call for Proposals requests
pre-proposals related to: (1) Environmental Restoration; (2)
Munitions Management; (3) Sustainable Infrastructure; (4) Weapons
Systems and Platforms; and (5) Energy.
* BAA and NON-DOD FEDERAL ORGANIZATIONS: The Broad Agency
Announcement (BAA) and Non-DoD Federal Call for Proposals requests
pre-proposals in the following topics only: (1) Protection and
Remediation of Contaminated Groundwater; (2) Military Munitions
Detection, Discrimination, and Remediation; (3) Ecosystem Service
Methodologies and Tools for Department of Defense Installations;
and (4) Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for DoD Installations.
The due date for all pre-proposals from both the federal and non-federal
sectors is Thursday, March 4, 2010. More information about the

* WEBINAR FOR THE ESTCP SOLICITATION – JANUARY 15: ESTCP Director
Dr. Jeffrey Marqusee will conduct an online seminar “ESTCP Funding
Opportunities” on January 15, 2010, from 1:00-2:00 PM EST. This
“how to play” briefing will offer valuable information for those
who are interested in new funding opportunities within ESTCP.
During the online seminar, participants may ask general questions
about the funding process, the current ESTCP solicitation, and the
proposal submission process. Pre-registration for this webinar is

SERDP SOLICITATION DEADLINES
* SERDP CORE SOLICITATION – REMINDER TO FEDERAL ORGANIZATIONS: The
Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP)
is seeking proposals in response to its FY 2011 Core Solicitation
released on October 29, 2009. The Core solicitation provides
funding opportunities for projects that vary in cost and duration.
Federal proposals are due March 11, 2010, via the appropriate
SERDP Executive Working Group (EWG) member. Detailed instructions
and the Statements of Need for federal submissions are available
on the SERDP web site under the Funding Opportunities tab at
www.serdp.org/funding

* SERDP SEED SOLICITATION: SERDP is seeking proposals in response
to its FY 2011 SERDP Exploratory Development (SEED) Solicitation
released on October 29, 2009, with Statements of Need (SON) in
three focus areas. The SEED Solicitation is designed to provide a
limited amount of funding (not to exceed $150,000) for projects up
to one year in duration to investigate innovative approaches that
entail high technical risk and/or require supporting data to
provide risk reduction or proof of concept. SEED proposals from
both the federal and non-federal sectors must be submitted by
March 11, 2010. Detailed instructions and the SONs for both
federal and non-federal submissions are available on the SERDP web
