ITRC is thrilled to officially release our latest guidance document, Remediation Management of Complex Sites!
This guidance presents a recommended process for remediation management at complex sites, termed "adaptive site management." The adaptive site management process is presented in a flow chart and each step is described in detail. This guidance incorporates and refers to best management practices, tools, and technologies described in previous publications by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Department of Defense (DOD), ITRC, and others. The guidance also includes numerous case studies that describe real-world applications of remediation and remediation management at complex sites.
The team of state and federal environmental regulators, federal agency representatives, industry experts, community stakeholders, and academia worked diligently to provide a thorough and quality guidance document, and is excited to be able to share its work with ITRC members and the environmental community.
