Join SERDP and ESTCP on Thursday, October 22 for a webinar on describing the development of a novel technology to destroy PFAS in contaminated water and evaluations of environmentally friendly alternatives to AFFF. First, Dr. Jinyong Liu (University of California, Riverside) will discuss his research on PFAS defluorination and reaction mechanisms for PFAS degradation using hydrated electrons generated under ultraviolet irradiation. Second, Mr. Gerard Back (Jensen Hughes) will present his work on assessing the effectiveness of AFFF alternatives, including PFAS-free foams as well as wetting agents and other alternatives, under representative conditions.
