Hi. My name is Robert Kravitz. I work for Earth Tech, a for-profit
environmental engineering and remediation company based in Long Beach,
California with 40+ offices, 2,000 employees throughout the U.S. I am the
company-wide point of contact for Brownfield issues, although we have several
regional personnel who follow local and regional Brownfield issues.
Our involvement to date with the Brownfields movement has varied from helping
the City of Richmond, Virginia (one of the original Pilot Cities) develop their
program to working with commercial, industrial, and military clients to
participate in the Brownfields movement (i.e, as buyer, seller, remediator,
developer) and the various state voluntary cleanup programs.
This workgroup and its focus on community and environmental justice issues
provides a valuable perspective - one that must be incorporated to achieve
successful Brownfield redevelopment. Thank you all for providing us with this
