Hello brownfields newsgroup folks:

As you know, there have been a couple of postings on this list lately
concerning the intersection of brownfields and public health. I would like
to hear about anyone's case examples where public health has been either
well-protected or NOT well-protected in brownfields projects.

The HHS "Brownfields and Public Health Strategy" addresses monitoring and
identifying community health problems, empowering communities with health
and safety information, developing innovative solution to health problems,
etc., surrounding brownfields development. What are real community
experiences with these issues? In your experiences, how have public health
agencies, organizations, clinics played roles similar to those described in
the HHS strategy? I am compiling information for a possible presentation to
public health officials in the area of public health and brownfields.

Thanks for any input that any of you can provide!
