Subject: | State-run Voluntary Clean-Up Programs |
Greetings, I am a graduate student at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I have been collecting information from Missouri's state run VCP (Voluntary Clean Up) program for the last few weeks and next month I will be collecting information from Illinoi's voluntary clean-up program. I am examining the ways in which these programs address the redevelopment of brownfields in urban areas. As all on this list are obviously aware the term brownfield is a broad term and there are a number of ways communities, local, state, federal, and other agencies address the redevelopment of contaminated or possibly contaminated properties. I was wondering if any of those on the list are aware of articles or studies that specifically address state-run voluntary clean-up programs and their impact on the prevalence of brownfields. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
