in response to Kristi Walker's inquiry about state run VCPs. The Environmental Law Institute's "An Analysis of State Superfund Programs: 50-state Study, 1998 Update" is a good reference work. In addition to Superfund, it gives a brief summary of legal and programmatic framework provided for cleanup and redevelopment of non-NPL site --- brownfields. I believe data is current through 1997.
