Wildlife Habitat Council 1010 Wayne Ave., Ste. 920 Silver Spring, MD 20910 301-588-8994 www.wildlifehc.org ***************************************************************** Restoring Green Space: Using Ecological Enhancements at Superfund, RCRA and Brownfield Sites July 17-18, 2002 Renaissance Washington DC Hotel Join the Wildlife Habitat Council for the third conference on ecological enhancement for site remediation. It promises to be an invigorating, action-oriented meeting that will enable participants to remove institutional barriers and begin to implement enhancement projects. Remediation projects, which apply natural resource-based approaches are achieving substantial cost savings as well as improving the social, economic and environmental value of sites. Encouraging sustainable development through ecological approaches also creates valuable benefits for communities, such as green space and opportunities to learn about the environment. We were pleased to welcome at this year’s conference: Marianne L. Horinko, Assistant Administrator, U.S. EPA, Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, Nicholas A. Di Pasquale, Secretary, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and James M. Seif, Vice President, Corporate Services, PPL Services Corporation. State and federal regulatory agencies have joined WHC and a diverse senior-level Steering Committee in planning this meeting and are ready to move forward – We urge you to join us in Washington to be part of this groundbreaking conference.
