I have worked with two faith-based organizations that are using the brownfield initiative in NY. One build a bakery to hire "hard-to-hire" people to make brownies for Ben & Jerry's. The other organization has been involved in the NY brownfield legislative debate because of the opportunity that brownfields will provide for creating new housing in NYC.
