Proposed Vapor Intrusion Guidance - The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) is making guidance for evaluating soil vapor intrusion available for public comment. The document provides guidance on identifying and addressing existing and potential human exposures to contaminated subsurface vapors associated with known or suspected volatile chemical contamination. This guidance is applicable anywhere a soil vapor intrusion investigation is warranted in the State of New York. Written comments on the draft guidance are welcome and should be sent to the NYSDOH's Bureau of Environmental Exposure Investigation by email to BEEI@health.state.ny.us or by mail to Flanigan Square, Room 300, 547 River Street, Troy, New York 12180-2216 by April 23, 2005. After all written comments are considered, a working draft of the guidance will be released.
