DEC investigates old industrial site. Katrina Irwin WROC-TV 8 (Rochester, NY) June 8, 2005 There are about a dozen old industrial sites around the city that may be contaminated with hazardous chemicals. The state D.E.C. is getting the word out to people who live near those sites on the clean up effort in one of those neighborhoods. "Anytime you hear contaminated soil, it's worrisome," says Florence Bassett. She has lived near Carlson Park in Northeast Rochester for years. ...
