Library, school in anti-TCE plan BY TOM WILBER Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin (NY) June 15, 2005 HILLCREST -- State health officials are proposing that ventilation systems be installed in approximately 70 properties in the center of the community to eliminate chemical gases from subterranean pollution, according to records from the state Department of Environmental Conservation. The properties in question include a library and school offices and a toddler play center. The unofficial tally is based on maps of areas affected by the pollution that state officials filed in the Fenton Free Library this week. Officials from the state departments of Environmental Conservation and Health will be available to answer questions at a 7 p.m. meeting June 23 at the Chenango Valley Middle School and High School auditorium on Bridge Road. ...
