Restoration 2006: Community and Economic Recovery after a Disaster
May 16-17, 2006

Complimentary registrations for Restoration 2006 are available for 
representatives of local governments, regional governments, state or 
Tribal governments, community-based organizations, environmental or 
social justice organizations, and nonprofit entities impacted by 
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  Restoration 2006, sponsored by ICMA in 
partnership with the National League of Cities, the National Association 
of Counties and more than 15 cosponsoring organizations, will focus on 
the long-term community and economic recovery after a disaster. The 
conference will take place May 16-17, 2006, at the Sheraton New Orleans 
Hotel.  Registration forms are available at

Restoration 2006 will feature a robust educational program of general 
sessions, panel presentations, and roundtable discussions as well as a 
solutions oriented exhibit hall featuring resources and tools to support 
long-term economic and community recovery.  In addition, pre- and 
post-conference training and volunteer activities are being offered for 
those individuals who want a more in-depth, hands-on experience.  All
