Norco toxic plume mapped out Residents can see contaminant area at community meeting Tuesday By Amy Frye Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (CA) March 18, 2006 NORCO - Enough testing has been done on- and off-site in the Wyle Laboratories investigation that the Department of Toxic Substances Control has mapped the contamination plume in shallow groundwater. Residents will be able to view that map during a 6 p.m. community meeting Tuesday at the Corona Norco Unified School District's Learning Center south meeting room, 2820 Clark Ave. DTSC is encouraging residents to attend the meeting to also learn about new sampling results from Norco High School, continued testing and cleanup efforts. ... DTSC also required Wyle to retest the air in additional classrooms of the Science Building, where low levels of vinyl chloride, a chemical found in plastics, were detected in some classrooms in the summer.
