City eyes brownfield funds as redevelopment moves forwardBy Lisa A. Bernard Hamilton Journal News (OH) April 11, 2006 HAMILTON — With two state-backed redevelopment deals under way in Hamilton, city leaders are prepping for their next potential brownfield project. By July, city development officials hope to have Hamilton’s name in the hat for a chunk of Clean Ohio Assistance grant dollars to help pay for the remediation of the former Hamilton Die Cast foundry on East Avenue. As part of that effort the Hamilton City Council will be asked tonight sign off on a $98,500 contract with Burges & Niple, Inc., for environmental assessments at former foundry. ...
