Plan eyes houses on industrial site Developer envisions up to 1,200 homes near Westminster By John Rebchook Rocky Mountain News May 3, 2006 Carma Colorado, which is developing suburban housing communities in Aurora and Brighton, has targeted a smaller infill development next to a former manufacturing facility at the edge of Westminster. Still, the 144-acre site at West 70th Avenue and Zuni Street in Adams County could contain 1,000 to 1,200 housing units when completed. Carma is a subsidiary of Canadian commercial developer Brookfield Properties, which owns the 56-story Republic Plaza in downtown Denver. The site Carma has under contract is next to the former Hamilton Sundstrand airplane parts manufacturing plant. ...
