It's a dream Ann Barnette has vowed not to let die.

And now, Milford's Downtown Development Authority executive director is 
finding her five-year struggle and diligence are finally paying off.

The DDA is the proud owner of a key parcel in the Village of Milford, 
the former Kelsey-Hayes factory site, which Barnette has been eyeing for 
a hotel and condominium development. A purchase agreement with 
Kelsey-Hayes for $1.15 million was signed a few days ago.

"This is huge," said Barnette. "It's huge because I've been working on 
this for five years, and it's huge because now I can start rolling."
