New future for hotel site

South Mission Street in Mt. Pleasant will have a whole new look by 
mid-September.

Plans call for the demolition of the nearly 40-year-old Budget Inn hotel 
at 1521-1523 S. Mission St.

While still in the preliminary stages, an initial conceptual site plan 
calls for the construction of a 15,000-square-foot shopping mall, a 
1,500-square-foot restaurant with a drive thru and a 6,000-square-foot 
Class 1 restaurant on the property.
