'No' means 'yes' to builder He insists $800-million project will go forward BY CECIL ANGEL DETROIT FREE PRESS April 30, 2007A partner behind a proposed $800-million mixed-use development on the site of the former Northville Psychiatric Hospital says that it will be built despite being rejected by various township boards. "We're going to develop this property," said Robert Schostak, president of Schostak Brothers & Co. Schostak Brothers is in a joint venture with Real Estate Interests Inc. (REIS) to develop the property. Schostak said REIS has spent millions so far and has made compromises to try to build the project, named Highwood. REIS purchased the property from the state for $31.5 million in 2005. ...
