Glasgow proposes brownfield regeneration in Commonwealth bid Organisers of Glasgow's £288m bid for the 2014 Commonwealth Games have indicated they would like to see the construction of 1,000 homes and significant regeneration of brownfield sites in the city. The homes would form the basis for a Games village based on the banks of the Clyde at Dalmarnock, before being put up for sale and made available for social housing after the event.
