Rensselaer County officials to seek buyers of industrial park land by Robin Cooper The Business Review (Albany) (NY) August 24, 2007Rensselaer County officials will seek commercial and light industrial companies this spring to buy part of a 21-acre property in the South Troy Industrial Park. The former home Republic Steel Corp. and Burden Iron Works already has generated interest from three potential tenants, according to county Executive Kathy Jimino. The land, located on East Industrial Parkway, will undergo a $2.5 million soil and groundwater clean up next spring, after the state announced a $2.27 million Brownfield grant Friday that will cover 90 percent of the work. The county will pay the other 10 percent of the cost. ...
