[CPEO-BIF] $32.9 million in BEDI grants available

HUD has available approximately $32.9 million for grant awards under this
Brownfields Economic Development Initiative (BEDI) Notice of Funding
Availability. The maximum amount of a BEDI award under this competition is
$2 million per project. 

BEDI is designed to help local governments redevelop brownfields, abandoned,
idled, or underutilized real property, including industrial and commercial
facilities, where expansion or redevelopment is complicated by the presence
or potential presence of environmental contamination.  

Any public entity eligible to apply for Section 108 loan guarantee
assistance in accordance with 24 CFR 570.702 may apply for BEDI grant
assistance under Section 108(q).
