Developers less fearful of brownfield sites Connecticut Post By PAM DAWKINS 10/31/2007 A survey released Wednesday supports the idea successful projects may be removing some of the fear surrounding brownfield redevelopment. "It's not getting less busy," despite the generally tough times in the real estate market, Derek Ezovski, managing director of Environmental Data Resources Inc.'s property due diligence group, said Wednesday. During a National Brownfield Association event in Chicago in mid-October, the Milford-based company surveyed environmental and government professionals who work in brownfield redevelopment about the state of the industry. According to Environmental Data Resources, which aggregates and sells environmental information about specific properties to developers, lenders and other groups, 52 percent of survey respondents said the pace of brownfield redevelopment is increasing; 47 percent said it is stable. ... According to the survey, 81 percent of respondents see more lenders willing to finance these projects, and lend more money, today than they were even three years ago.
